Environmental policy

Mastip Technology and its global group companies are committed to leading the industry in minimizing the impact of our operations on the global environment. Additionally, we recognize that we have a broader social responsibility to future generations to reverse and repair unsustainable practices that harm the environment every day.

As Mastip works in the tooling and plastics industry, we are committed to working with the industry and our global customers to increase global plastic recycling rates from 14% in 2017 to 70% as part of the circular economy and we are committed to looking beyond the current extractive industrial model of “take, make and dispose”, the circular economy is by design restorative and regenerative. Building on system-wide innovation, it aims to redefine products and services to eliminate waste, while minimizing negative impacts. Supported by a transition to renewable energy sources, the circular model builds economic, natural and social capital.

The key points of our strategy to achieve this are:

  • Reduce waste and emissions by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
  • Minimize toxic and carbon emissions through the selection and use of our machinery and manufacturing fleet and the source of their energy needs.
  • Actively promote recycling both internally and with our customers and suppliers.
  • Research and promote a range of products to minimize the environmental impact of production and distribution.
  • Meet or exceed all environmental legislation relating to the business.
  • Implement an accredited program to offset greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities.
